Message	More is better, as long as ecu can process it and the sensor can handle the frequency. The engine speed and location is the most critical info the ECU needs to run the engine. Basis for calculating everything, when to fire the spark, when to start the injection etc etc. Will a 12 tooth run it? Sure! Does a 24 or 36 offer greater resolution? Totally. As an owner, I've come down this path to get the best triggering info possible.
